Thomas E. Connolly is Professor of English and Vice-Chairman of the English Department at the State University of New York at Buffalo. His critical essays in English and American literature have appeared widely in scholarly journals, and among his published books are: James Joyce's Scribbledehobble: The Ur-Workbook for Finnegans Wake; Joyce's Portrait: Criticism and Critiques; The Personal Library of James Joyce: A Descriptive Bibliography; and From Ararat to Suburbia: The History of the Jewish Community of Buffalo.
