Heather Cousins of Monroe, Georgia holds an AB in Anthropology from Bryn Mawr College, an MA from the Writing Seminars of Johns Hopkins University, and a PhD in English and Creative Writing from the University of Georgia, where she also was a Park Postdoctoral Fellow. Author of Something in the Potato Room, winner of the 2009 Kore Press Book Award (selected by Patricia Smith), and a two-time Pushcart Prize nominee, her poems have appeared in Alehouse, Blue Earth Review, Cave Wall, The Country Dog Review, Passages North, Permafrost, Pleiades, Southern Poetry Review, and elsewhere.
