Description

Jacob Neusner has presented two-and-a-half-dozen book reviews and Auseinandersetzungen, disputes and debates on the study of formative Judaism. He makes an effort to read the dissertations and monographs in that field, particularly as these intersect with the studies on problems Neusner has chosen to solve. Presented in this book are some of the results for the decade that has now concluded.

In this book are some longer review essays and somewhat briefer reviews of single titles from his collected work of the 1990s.

Jacob Neusner is Research Professor of Religion and Theology at Bard College. Dr. Neusner has published more than eight hundred books and holds twenty-two honorary degrees and medals from academic institutions worldwide.
